I've done some searching throughout the forum and wasn't able to find a post that fit my question exactly so feel free to redirect me if you know of one.
Here we go.
My 5 year old tortie (cat) Kit currently lives with my parents. She play fights with my mom's little lapdog that she was raised with and loves chasing after him. When my sister brings her lab over however, she hisses and freaks out. (I don't think she is aware my mom's dog is a dog). So I am worried about how she might react to a puppy if I were to have her move in with me.
I recently moved into a pet friendly apartment and would love to have her come live with me. I have read about introducing dogs and cats to eachother, but I was wondering if it is better for me to bring her home a few months before I get my shiba puppy or after? Do cats tend to do better with dogs if they have known them since they were a puppy?
